Debate - Can tutor Really replace teacher?

"A teacher is a friend, philosopher and guide", said by one of the foreign Educationist and Vedas described a Teacher next to Almighty omnipotent God. Respected Principal, reverent judges, worthy teachers and all my dear friends, a very cheerful morning to all. Today I am going to concrete my views on the topic *Can tutors replace teacher?*  And I will speak against the motion.

August audience, it is a well known insurmountable fact that a student is just like a ship without compass in the absence of a good and efficient teacher. And it is a Teacher who always tend to take a lot of pain, insult and burdon only because she/he want their pupil to be the shining stars of zenith. Their endeavours show their magnetic and marvellous personality and we can't replace them with tutors as tutors are confined with the syllabi only.  They tend to teach only a limited number of things which only deals with their cognitive domain where on the other end, teachers deal with cognitive, affective and psycho motor domain. They develop us to be a complete and exact human being.

It is observed that many a time people see the achievements of teachers on the basis of their academic achievements in grades but there are very few who look at their high level of character and these things can only be seen in teachers not in tutors.

Teachers are having a committed set of approach and they love their professon from the bottom of their heart where on the other hand tutors' ultimate concern is money.

Those who think that a tutor can guide their students appropriately also tend to adopt a confine perspective as they aren't aware about child psychology and pedagogy. They are just a master in their own area of subject matter. Except it they don't require any specific professional qualification.

Moreover, a tutor is not having a compassionate heart which is the utmost requirement for the life long learning.

Thus it is quite crystal clear to us that a Teacher can't be replaced with a tutor because teacher is a friend, philosopher and guide on the other hand a tutor is just a commercial agent who only want to earn the maximum profit.

The Life Changing Experience of Silas Marner

The life changing experience of Silas Marner in Lantern yard.

Answer. 

      In lantern yard Silas Marner was living a happy life with his friend William Dane.  He also wished to marry with Sarah but his bosom friend William Dane also wished to marry her.  He felt jealous of the popularity of Silas Marner due to having his sipiritual visitation with God. Therefore, very cunningly and skillfully he constructed a plan against Silas Marner.  

  

      One day both Silas and Dane were appointed for taking care of Ailing Deacon and his gold.  Because Silas was suffering from epilepsy which people correlated with Spiritual visitation therefore he knew when he got the epileptic fit.  Dane excused of having fever therefore he left the place.  At the mid night of 12 o' clock Silas got the attack of a fit again.  Dane very cunningly killed the ailing Deacon and stole his gold.  Thereafter, very skillfully he placed the gold and knife in Silas's dwelling.  Next morning Silas found Deacon dead.  Then the lots were collected.  All the evidences were now against Silas and he was proved to be the real culprit.  

   Silas now came to know that it was Dane who back stabbed him.  Now he lost his faith in God and left the Lantern yard.  Thus this was the life changing experience of Silas Marner in Lantern yard and after this incident he turned to be a recluse in Reavole.

The Last Lesson - summary.

The Last Lesson is a short story written by Alphonse Daudet: a French novelist and short- story writer.  The story deals with the childhood experience of the narrator who was getting late for going to his school and therefore, he was very much worried that this time again he would be scolded by Mr M. Hamel; his french teacher.  But when he arrived at the school, then he realised that this day was completely different from other days.  Because usually when school began, there was a great bustle, which could be heard out in the street and the teacher's great ruler was tapping on the table.  But it was completely different on that day and everything was quiet and still.  When the narrator went towards his class and opened the door he was accepting that this time again he would be scolded but nothing happened.  M. Hamel saw him and said very kindly, "Go to your place quickly, little Franz.  We were beginning without you."

    

The narrator jumped over the bench and sat down at his desk.  He observed that the teacher was on one of the best dress which he usually wore on some special occasions. He was looking quite emotional because it was his last lesson of french.  Everybody was looking sad sitting in the class.  The amazing fact was that the crowd sitting in the class was completely different and everyone was looking quite sensible as well as disciplined. This time the students sitting in the class were the Postmaster, the Farmer, and several others.  

Thereafter, Mr M. Hamel mounted from his chair and spoke with his same grave and gentle tone which he had used usually and said, "My Children, this is the last lesson I shall give you.  The order has come from Berlin to teach only German in the schools of Alsace and Lorraine.  The new master comes tomorrow. This is my last French lesson. I want you to be very attentive."

The narrator heard M. Hamel said to him, "I won't scold you, little Franze; you must feel bad enough. See how it is!  Every day we have said to ourselves, 'Bah! I've plenty of time. I'll learn it tomorrow. And now you see where we've come out. Ah, that's the great trouble with Alsace; she(Alsace) puts off learning till tomorrow."  

The narrator Franz seemed to be very attentive toward the last lesson given by M. Hamel.  He heard so carefully and attentively that he understand each of the concepts very easily.  He was in this school for the last forty years but this day was looking quite sensible and different as it was his last lesson.  

At the end of the story, Mr Hamel left the class without having any kind of zeal and said, "School is dismissed- You may go."  

The narrator was looking at the blackboard in which a line was written in large words i.e. 

 "Vive La France!"
